About Scott
Scott Young is a 42 year old professional triathlete living in Reno, NV. Scott has been racing professionally since 1996. Scott is also the head coach of the University of Nevada Triathlon Club. He also teaches the fundamentals of triathlons and marathon running to over 200 students at the University of Nevada.
Scott grew up in the small town of Herlong, California where he excelled in basketball and was named league MVP his senior year. He later went on the play college basketball at Feather River and Shasta College. In 1989, while attending Chico State University, Scott competed on the National Triathlon Collegiate Championship team. Scott has raced for over 20 years and has competed in over 300 triathlons. He lives and trains with his beautiful wife Kristi who is an elite runner, and their two dogs Sophie and Otis.
